Fam Feature: New Stone Age Thanksgiving LEFTOVERS Menu

We hope you had the BEST Thanksgiving this year. New Stone Age is proud to be a small, family owned and operated business. One thing we appreciate about our industry is knowing that we help to create spaces for people where memories are made. Thanksgiving is a time of year when we reflect on our gratitude for gathering spaces; our own, and the ones where we have had the opportunity to add beautiful, permanent, and useful stone surfaces. To show our thanks for all of you who have supported our business, we have gathered what we believe to be the best Thanksgiving leftovers recipes you can enjoy while you take a break from cooking for the rest of the week!

Turkey Quesadillas

Take some of that extra turkey and slice it nice for some turkey quesadillas. Add some shredded cheese, grilled bell peppers, and refried beans to a tortilla that can handle it for a delicious twist on your Thanksgiving's main dish. Smother it in some of the sour cream you had left over from mashed potatoes and some salsa, and these turkey quesadillas are maximum leftover noms!

Cranberry Sauce Swirl Cheesecake

Homemade or canned cranberry sauce is featured in this delicious dessert of Cranberry Sauce Swirled Cheesecake. The tartness of the cranberries are brilliantly balanced by the creamy, milky component of cheesecake. There are plenty of recipes out there for the smaller, individual versions, but here's the recipe for the whole shebang--because the ratio is just right, it is easier to make, and prettier to serve.

Leftover Mashed Potato Pizza

All of the things you love in a loaded baked potato, as a pizza. I mean, is there even more to say?? Take your leftover mashed potatoes, put them on some flatbread, then top with chives, bacon, and cheddar cheese (or parmesan). Bake in the oven at 425 for about 10-15 min, and you have yourself a crowd pleaser and leftovers-eater!!

Stuffing Waffles

Hey, brunch is a great way to start of a Black Friday, and you can use your leftover stuffing for waffles! Because stuffing has a bread, fat, rising, and sugar component, it is a great ingredient, as-is, for a waffle iron. Spray your iron with a little cooking oil, load a glob of leftover stuffing, and iron for about 3 min. Then top with leftover turkey and cranberry sauce, and you're brunched and ready to shop!

Leftover Turkey Pho

Is everyone sick now after getting together? Probably. Tis the season (of snot!). Use your turkey leftovers to make a healing concoction of turkey pho (pronouced fuh). A delicate broth, healthy turkey, and filling noodles, topped with fresh and vitamin-packed herbs and veggies, leftover turkey pho is a delicious and useful dish for the ever-dropping temperatures.

Pumpkin Pie S'mores

What?! Yes, especially, if, like us, you only have one or two slices left! An indulgent way of divvying up the last pieces of this Thanksgiving favorite, put a square of pumpkin pie on a graham cracker with some chocolate and a charred marshmallow. It is truly making something (awesome) out of "nothing" (one piece of pie for several people), and it is terrific!

So get your Black Friday shopping done, throw that football around some more, volunteer a few hours somewhere that makes you feel your gratitude, then come home and make these delectable dishes out of the things leftover in your fridge!

And let us know if you could use some new countertops. That--we can definitely help with!
